Who uses the telescope?
el TIGRE is the result of a trilateral collaboration between the stellar astrophysicists of the Universities of Hamburg, Guanajuato and Liège. As a result of the financial contribution from the University of Liège, the Liège astrophysicists have guaranteed access to 10% of the observing time, over the expected 15-year operation of the telescope. They will devote the time to several research projects aimed at better understanding how stars "operate", an area in which their expertise is internationally renowned. The projects are selected on the basis of observation proposals.
